Crazy what some folk will pay for things like that. I remember them, they were very common once upon a time. OEM and aftermarket.
My dad had one in his '62 Acadian. It was the only option the car had. But I can't remember if it was a dealer accessory or it was an aftermarket thing. But I always thought it was cool.

I got one for my 63 sedan. Paid a pretty penny for it too.
So, how does it install?
How do you access the tissues?

That's probably why they are so hard/expensive to find. Common items were just not considered something note worthy to save/take care of.
Exactly. Funny those common and disposeable items have become so valueable today.

Just like flashcubes.

And 8-tracks

There is a hinge on the left side. It swings out to reveal the tissue slot.

Thanks, it wasn't clear form the pics on ebay, and I'm not sure I've ever seen one installed.
Not sure I like that it hangs form one side like that.

Pontiac in the mid 60s offered a plastic unit which attached under the dash.
This metal tissue dispenser has the Kleenex brand name on it.

So does the one on ebay in the first post.
I do like the mechanical design of yours better.

Don't know if I've ever seen one of the plastic Cad dispensers.

I looked at the instructions in the auction and it wasn't clear, probably due to the image size/resolution.
The pic you posted is much better.
Now, I like the mounting even less, as it's held by 2 screws, close together, on one end.
The chrome face one you posted earlier looked much better, with a mounting screw on each end, and folding down.
I have both :Muttley:
Starting in '71 Cadillac had a litter basket standard mounted to the right kick panel. That lasted through 1992 on the Broughams. It is pretty convenient.

They sure are
