Very nice IMO
These things came nowhere near the sales of the Cadillacs and Lincolns of the day, did they?

Nope, but there were a few about. A lot more than Lincolns, but not as many as Cadillacs. And they were damned nice cars too.
Mike
Now you've done it DuD, now everybody's going to want one --- except maybe for that lean burn engine.

 None for me, thanks.
The lean burn can be fixed easy enough.

I think I just wet my panties. G-D, that's a beautiful car. I guess I need to log in and offer him a 59 Cadillac in trade. I'll drive to him and drive that one back.

I think ELB was used in the last of the Australian Chryslers too. Don't know stuff-all about it though. AFAIK N.Z.-spec cars never had it.
Basically replacing the distributor with a conventional unit, then disconnecting the 'putor.
Mike
That car is sweet. Maybe I should offer my 82 and 94.
2 Cadillacs for one Chrysler sounds fair.

It's only at $6100, and its a no reserve auction. I would love a car like that.
I'm getting nervous with this car sitting there. I have a feeling it's going to go to about 10K in the last few minutes. It's too nice to just be sitting there at a low sales figure.
You gonna make a bid on it?
GJ
Had I had moved on selling the '59, and had the money to consider it, then yes. But as it stands sadly no.
I thought about putting down the $6200 bid, but then if that's the high bid at the end, I'm commited. I don't play with peoples auctions. It's not right. You bid to buy, not to play. Besides, it might just drive up the price for a serious buyer.
It's been pulled with about 15 hours left to run. Musta been a good offer.
His description said it would be pulled if bidding was slow. It didn't get bid on since you posted it, so maybe it will get relisted later on.
It came up saying the item was no longer available.
For that auction. Like I said, he might relist it later.
Here's an even nicer one I saw a couple of years ago.
GJ
I remember seeing that car at Moparfest. It was a real beaut. I'd take one of those over any of their muscle cars anyday.
Mike
Demolition derby, anyone?
:Muttley:
Oh, the humanity!

All of the big 60's-70's land barges were good for demo derbys. The wagons were the best. They could whale on anything in reverse and survive. :whoo-hoo:
And that is what did in a lot of them too.
Mike
Denrep, your a cruel bastard. :icon_OO:
