Anyone need 1969 coupe parts?

I'm parting out an old 1969 coupe.  Body is rough, interior is junk.  But there's lots of good emblems, hard parts, switches, motors, glass, bumper ends, etc.

Let me know if you know if you need anything.

Don't know.  I'll pull it out and put some power to it.

Those clocks usually are just filled with dirt, hair, lint, hardened grease, etc gunking up the works. If no gears are broken they usually start working after being cleaned.

Mose, get the map light bulb out of it. They are totally unobtanium anymore. That is the bulb that hooks onto the contacts with the wires. If it works, I'll PM you my new address.

There are a lot of AC parts that are near impossible to find but places like Old Air will rebuild the cores.

Amazing the stuff that we tossed that you can't get anymore. Even a POA core is worth $200 to a purist.

Unfortunately the clock coil wire looks fried.  I'll see if I can fix it and clean the gears up.  Apparently it's rare to find these working; people seem to pay ridiculous $$ for clean working ones.

I'll look for map light.  I think the POA was gutted with the rest of the AC.  But make a list of other things you may want.

Fins

Oh, I don't want anything, ('cept maybe the light bulb) just making suggestions for things to get before you send it all off to the scrapper.

No light bulb.  Sorry.

Clock works now, but the little 'kicker' solenoid doesn't seem to wind it all the way 'round.  Only lasts about 1 minute between kicks.  More testing needed.

Threw a cup of gas at it and it started right up!  Maybe I'll run compression on it to see what condition it's in before listing the engine.  It has an HEI on it;  It doesn't look factory and I thought those were mid 70's.

Points until 72 Does it have dual belts or single?

Not sure I know.  AC has been removed so don't know the factory belt routing.  Belt from WP to ALT.  Belt from crank to PS.  Belt from crank to WP to air pump.

EDIT:  PS pump has a two-groove pulley

Fins

It's a 4 belt setup. Crank to AIR, to fan/WP. Fan to Alternator. Double belt, crank to P/S and A/C. Any A/C parts are toast if it's been open that long.

Thanks for peeking for the bulb!  :)

More clock repair.  Lack of 'kick' was hopefully due to egged out pivot on the striker.  We'll see if it improves once I reassemble it.

Points 'til sometime mid '73 model run.  Both my '73 Caribou and the parts car I bought for it had dual belts and points.  The Caribou ultimately got Pertronix ignition.
