Spent most of yesterday sorting and identifying half dozen boxes of Cadillac crests, wreaths, scripts and vees. This stuff is part of the stash retrieved from a friend's building before it was foreclosed last fall. Finally starting to make some headway again after couple dozen p-cup loads of stuff came here in quick order.
Some of the late 70s and many of the 80s era items are NOS. Let me know if you are looking for anything.
Special pricing on Cimarron scripts.
I'm not adverse to picking up some spare parts for Chester.
Any hood ornaments with the wreath? (don't worry GJ, if CF has any you get first dibs on one)
If you've got any pics of the pile I might be able to identify what I'd be interested in.
59 stuff brings the big $$$. So I'll stay quiet. If/when the time comes to paint the hood and trunk, I'll spring for the repops.
59 V's and Crests bring more than a car is worth on the market.
However, I do still have this in my small collection. All I need is the car to put it on. ::)
There's always stuff I need. And there's always stuff I want. What if anything do you have for my '85 Eldorado?
Mike
Keep me in mind for any 63/64 stuff.
Let me know if you come across the crest and wreath for a 93-96 trunk lid.
That's my first priority right now.
GJ
If you have anything left over for the 86 ,or the 60 , I'm interested C.F.
Xris
Do you have any nice driver type emblems for a 61-62. I have them all but they are dull. Dave
I'll eventually need '66 'sedan deville' scripts for the rear fender; mainly need the 'sedan' portions. I also need replacement crests/wreaths for the pillar.
thanks,

Sent a couple pics by email. Wasn't sure if it went through the first time so may have accidentally been sent twice.
Don't believe I have the crest/wreaths for the pillar. Do you have a pic with measurements?

Mike I sent some pics through Sunday afternoon which should have included stuff for your Eldo.
Hmmm.. Nothing came through. Did you use the right e-mail?
Mike
I just forwarded it too you.
Thanks Jon.
I'll check to see where my email went Mike when I get home later.
Mike just sent me a message that his e-mail blocked my forwarded message.
You should probably try and send it to him again, it might like the original better than a forwarded version. The only problem with your original message was that you ended it with .ca instead of .com on his e-mail address.
Nope. .ca is correct.
Mike
I just looked back, it seems I had the two backwards in my previous post. She tried to send it to .com instead of .ca

As a matter of fact I do!
I filled and painted the holes in the pillars, still not sure if I'll replace the crest/wreath. But I wouldn't mind having them.

You had better get a tape with mm's on it. Them thar Canucks cain't read no 1/16ths, 1/8's and 1/4's. :pty:
We're used to dealing with both systems. just because your system is more annoying doesn't make it unusable, the American people are proof of that :icon_OO:.
Besides Mike and GJ both were alive to see the adoption of the metric system in Canada.
I use them both all the time and regularly convert between them. I know the system as well as you do. I also know the metric system quite well.

Maybe I'm just getting that way in my old age.
And you're what? 35?
I'm still in my 20's
One of the reasons I like Chester is that we're almost the same age.
Who looks better for their age ?, you or chester .
After the re-paint last summer, Chester without a doubt.

Something different.
That one is for a 90's Deville. The 93-96 Fleetwood looks like the lock cover on the 80's cars.
I just broke down and bought a new Wreath and crest from GM parts direct for 150 clams.

Holy sheep-shit. I thought you were an old fart like the rest of us. Turns out you're just a punk kid. :yikes: I wish I was in my 20's again. Early 20's. Damn, would I do things differently.
I've still got most of a year before I'm 30. I've heard it all goes down hill from there.
Speaking of the rest of my life. I've got a 2 hr interview with a company in Mississauga Ontario tomorrow that could very well decide where I'll be for the next few decades. I've worked with this company before and they are fantastic to their employees. The team I would be joining does the same kind of work that I do now only minus all the bullshit that comes with being in academia. It's a global consulting engineering company and the department that I'm interviewing for is a specialized department that deals with the crazy complex stuff that everyone else gives up on. So if a company has a problem that they can't figure out, or if they have a design issue that they ABSOLUTELY NEED DONE RIGHT, this department is called in to do the work.
If you watch the show HOUSE, it's kind of like the engineering version of his group.
I like HOUSE. In doses. In a way it's like NCIS. A group input to achieve the same end result. And the cast of both shows seems to work well together. Very fluid.
"I've still got most of a year before I'm 30. I've heard it all goes down hill from there."
:rotfl: Geeeez, give me a break. You wanna see downhill? Wait 'til you turn 70! And you better take care of yourself at that.
:pool:
Like I said, Geoff. Punk kid. :Muttley: I've been married near that long.
Downhill hell. It only gets better.
Good deal Jon! I wish you all the luck in that! The firm that the engineers turn to get stuff done they can't figger out. A good feather in your cap.
House? I've never bothered to watch it. Nor NCIS etc etc. I absolutely hate prime time network TV.
Mike
Hopefully it goes well. Naturally I couldn't get any sleep last night so I'm :sleepy:
We closed the bar last night, got home about 12:30 but of course can't fall asleep right away.
And :censored: alarm went off @ 6am so me too :sleepy:
All kidding aside, good luck with that interview, Jon.
Thanks!

An funnily appropriate term . :)
Good to meet you CF,
Thanks for the jewelry!
Nice to meet you too. Sorry you couldn't join us for dinner.
Jon missed out on the food? :yikes: For shame.
Sick kids at home.
Yeah, my original plan was to stay right though till Sunday. But everyone's sick on the home front and I needed to get back. Our youngest was up crying every 20 min last night so I'm :sleepy:
Better you than me.

No sleep tonight. I'm wide awake. :curse: I'm sitting here and have consumed 2 bottles of water. It's going to be a futile effort to try and sleep now. I'll be up every 10 minutes.
No worries. I have no 'rugrats'. Don't want them, don't like them, never will. :icon_OO:
Fins doesn't want
anyone running through his house
dripping or oozing body fluids,
tracking mud and dirt,
knocking over breakables,
destroying stuff,
tearing up the yard,
wrecking the furniture,
eating as much as him
- - - oh wait, am I describing Fins' kids dogs? :rotfl:
Let's see here. I'll scratch out what they
don't do...

But leave the house if the Lab farts. :eeew:
Which dog chewed up some new $$$ furniture?
Piper. When she was a 6 month old puppy. I'm not defending the dog. But I did manage to get rid of the junk I didn't like, big $$$ or not and get something close to what I wanted. And I still don't sit in it.
Kids can be a PITA @ times but haven't run across any lately that chewed up couches or shoes either. :poke:
I never had one that chewed up shoes. I had a big Lab that would go get Debbie's slippers for her. When she got them they were soaking wet. :Muttley: :eeew: :rotfl:
Bear?

Maybe. I'll take a look over the next couple days and let you know.
Its Woodward Dream Cruise week; only reason we're home is its raining. :cry2:
Have one NOS crest but forget if its 57 or 58.
Why do newbies go to the Buy/Sell board first?
I want to read the bull shit to see who's who.

Right up there in General Discussion. It's your very own welcome thread. :hi: :rotfl:
Remember the For Sale board is the only one visible until you join.
