It's in my 'hood, though I've never seen it anywhere. Most likely for good reason.

He does need to decide what he's selling though. A 67 or a 68.  And of course, the jabronie just has to throw in the Elvis shit.   :jack:

Suprising that it Is real nice,I took a fridge magnet! All steel car without rust???Never seen a car without rust.He says he owned it for 12 years and takes it to the Festival shows and stuff.I never seen it around either. It is Steve from S+A Glass at prospect and dixie.I am in competition with a High school kid from the expensive Pinecrest School, His first car!! His dad wants him in a safe car.If the kid really wants it and fans out the hundreds on the hood,he gets it.Steve said I could have it for $7500 and I feel it is worth it.Tires,Wheels,Huge Nice Dual Exhaust,Paint ,Body and the stinkin suede cost more than that.Hate the steering wheel and the missing V on the hood and not real fond of the pinstripe. He said the new metal was almost from the beltline on the quarters and the bottom of the front fenders.Trunk and floors are like new.
again suprising that it was actually nice.Every light bulb,AC/Heat and windows and seat all functioning as new!

Why did a rust-free car  need half an acre of new  metal?  :confused2:

The $4500 is beautiful except for the burgundy piping.  The$7500 one is an ugly color.

Funny thing aboot 67 & 68 speedos & gauges, interesting how they often suffer from surface rust.  Don't notice that so much with other years.

And their glove box doors warp.

I was just about to type that.  I've never seen an instrument panel look so crappy before on any other car that was in basically good shape.  Weird.

111k, is believable. I'm sure if it were only 11k, the car wouldn't be ratted out the way it is.

I will never have or drive a 69/70 Hate,Hate the dash, gas gauge and steering also those seats over your head.67 of course 429 woes. The dash on the 67's rust from air conditioning condensation.Hence the plastic vents on 68'.It is a 68 coupe or a 68 eldo.I am ok with a 71 or 72 coupe but nothing else, nothing!

That's what I like about the 69/70 cars. Those huge seats. You can sit and drive for hours and never have a sore back or neck. And that virtical floating gas gauge on the 69 is the coolest. Like a Toro Eldorado Brougham barrel speedo.

Guys, went into work Late today as the kid went nissan and I was back all over it.There is over 500 photos of the whole job.Welded metal only behind the rear wheels. No cruise, tilt or power vents,Maybe it is a Calais? It is nice enough for me to drive to work that is for sure.JJ Best is the greatest.I have to give $750 down and $143 a month for 60 months. Most would think it is crazy.I think I may have a tough time as being a 67-70 Eldo driver since 79.I could be hitting curbs!I may spend money on it and try to resell!Look at the pictures again and tell me what you really think.

I think it looks like a decent car overall.

The way I see it for 10K or less on any decent car you can't lose.   If you enjoy it who cares if its had work done?  Hopefully its done right.  Any rust on the frame?  Why did all those panels have to be replaced?

If you buy it, please get rid of that horrible steering wheel and those idiotic, fuzzy dice.  Fuzzy dice are for numb nut trailer queen dopes.

Oh ya, and ditch the Elvis plate, too.  If you don't do these things I'm going to tell Fins to delete your Misfit account.

I'll give you a little more time to buy proper steel wheels and hubcaps.

The wheels don't bother me much as the wheel and the missing crest and V!He has 1000 photos of all the process of what and were things were done.He also got it from original owner!

Remember Intake fits under most all RWD hoods only Eldos are tight.I will not be touching anything.Once you change one thing you have to change more than you think.Cam,Lifters,Intake,Linkage, kickdown,Choke,Pushrods,Rocker shaft assembly, Holes in head reamed for new 1.7 ratio, valve covers to fit said rocker assembly,A.I.R. removal and pulleys. Then of course water pump clearance for new AC compressor...Once achieved it is brilliant but,lot to be said for mostly original.

Right. That doesn't let you off the hook for the steering wheel and fuzzy dice, though.  Get crackin!

Lost it to the 16 year old kid!!! :hammer: I had things all set for today as I had to work every single day.Kids Mom was the one that would not let him in the Nissan. Both parents fought with the guy after he told them he sold it.The father fanned out 95 ,$100 dollar bills on the hood and told the guy to F me and take the extra $2k so he did.I would have done the same thing!

I would have too.

I don't think that you lost out. $8G's can buy a lot of car.

Ya Keeper, don't sweat it.  You'll find a nicer one down the road since you seem to check for them all the time.

The interior and steering wheel were a disgrace and like Denrep, I wonder why all that metal had to be replaced.  Only the body rusted and not the frame?  Was it in a rollover?

Keep looking.

Seems like right after sweepin' the surplus 100s off the hood one would cancel the listing?  :chin:
