ALL of those posts of his are deleted now??? There must have been something deeper than a forged sticker than meets the eye to get that done. Although there was some good info in a few of the posts. But they are here now. We delete nothing. Maybe in the beginning, or something in which I really hear it from others, but 98% of stuff stays now. Fins

There was one post where he took a photo of his car & put it on a Cadillac Brochure. He mentioned doing this for other people & selling them. One person told him he better contact a copy write lawyer & get permission from Cadillac for using there Logos / trademark etc. My last post on that one was yes you better check on copy writes. You know all this could of been avoided if he got permission from me to use my info. I would of let him. I do it with my photos all the time. Anyhow I got 2 posts deleted in one night, is this a record?

What an insult to the dogs. This thread has the entire Moderator team up in arms now. It seems after some investigation, he was using the CLC boards for personal gain and commercial purposes. That's not nice unless you pay commercial fees. Kinda like a G'ment tax. Fins

That is too funny.
He seemed like a pompous dick the minute I read that his car was a "concours quality" driver. Bla bla bla
It was Barry Wheeler that warned him about copyright laws. Would a 40 year old print advertisement still be protected, though? I don't know.

Depending on when it was published, assuming GM maintained the copyright, then it protected for 95 years. http://copyright.cornell.edu/resources/publicdomain.cfm1923 through 1963, Published with notice and the copyright was renewed, 95 years after publication date
1964 through 1977, Published with notice, 95 years after publication date
1978 to 1 March 1989, Created after 1977 and published with notice, If a work of corporate authorship, 95 years from publication or 120 years from creation, whichever expires first
