Maybe mine's not worth what I think it is. This listing is from Facebook. only three pictures and minimal information though.

You're selling yourself short, I think. I haven't been following the market at all lately. Mainly because I'm neither a buyer or a seller. Little things on these cars can set you back quite a bit if they're not working at purchase. A/C, right off the top is $2000, a new top is $5000 with a glass window, tires, $1200.

Look at what you have before you condemn it. If $17k is your thoughts, I'll come get it when the weather breaks. I don't know where I'll put it, but I can hide it from the wife for a while.  ;) I had to cut the wall out to get my Eldorado in the garage. That '70 is much longer. I'll have to build a shelving unit in the guest bedroom just to accommodate the nose of it.

Just looked. 225". So, just an inch longer than mine.

I hate to say it, but admit it. You're bored of the car, you don't drive it and you'd rather have the garage room. Nothing wrong in that.

I tried to find that one on the net and another red 70 vert came up in Kansas City for $8900

I wonder just how many are out there.  :chin:  A car in very nice condition is always worth more than the seller with a 3 picture ad. Figuring Chris is a pretty stand up guy, I'm sure his car is a very nice car.

I got in. A one minute video of the exterior is not very convincing. Before I would even look at it I would need at least 50 pictures and pictures of what I designate.

And yes, incorrect hubcaps, er wheel discs.  ;)

Same as 1959 & 1960 Cadillacs and 1994-96 Fleetwood Brohams

Not listed this way but a friend who retired from Cadillac said the Brohams are 1/8" longer.

There were much longer cars out there besides Cadillac. Chrysler had some seriously long cars. I think there was a New Yorker wagon that topped out at 232". I'd have to go digging to be sure.

1976 Fleetwood Brougham is almost 234"

We borrowed a friend's beautiful white one for our wedding car. She let us have it for the weekend.

My '70 fits (end to end) with about 18" inches to spare in my garage, house built in 1985.

My '70 fits nicely in my parent's garage, house built in 1967.

I'm fixing to have a storage problem for my cars.  My '70 is temporarily at my folk's house, they're now both deceased.  The house has to be sold by August this year, losing the insurance on it because it's unoccupied.   I have the two corvettes at my house in the garage.  I have 3 cars that I'd like to be garaged but only have a two-car garage.  My driveway has space for 3 cars, all covered by a nice carport.   The two corvettes stay on battery tenders.  I suppose I can leave one of the vettes out and figure out how to run the tender so I can shut the front trunk (the plug in for the tender is located there).  I worry about rodents getting in and doing damage, I see evidence of them on the Avalanche engine cover, but I haven't suffered any rodent damage in any of the cars that stay outside.  I won't put out rat bait, I don't want any secondary kill.  I worry about using standard rat traps for fear friendly animals (possums, cats, etc) will get into them.  I saw some covered traps that are small enough for rodents to travel in, but the reviews online on them are less than stellar.

Any idea of successful outdoor rodent control short of leaving cats out?  We have bobcats in our area and they'll have any outside cats for dinner, not gonna do that either.

I can also look into renting an offsite storage place for one of the cars, not a fan of that for the cost and the PITA it is go to it to take the stored car for a drive.

Woe is me.  I'll figure it out.  The wife wants to move, I don't, her search criteria is at least a 3 car garage, preferably more.  My ass is happy right here where we've been for 27 years.  I just have too many cars, that's my problem and I'll handle it.

I'd intended to sell the most recently acquired vette, but I ended up liking it and I want to keep it.  We'll see.

...no more random thoughts...  for now.
