I now see the differences in the '75 and '76 on the rear. The '75 is missing the chrome bezels around the lights and the trunk lip chrome strip. The same with the front end. Chrome accents take away the blandness of the '75.

Looking at the car, it really doesn't look too bad, sans the seats and the steering wheel. You need 2 grand alone just to make them right. Lipstick Red leather would turn that car loose.

The rough engine compartment looks like 145,000, but at least it's not butchered up by some moron with a Ford blue spray can.  3G's top offer.

Maybe the guy was raised by his Grandma, and grew attached to the couch cover.

I don't remember Cadillac making a pattern like that.   :puke:  At first, before I looked at the link it was going to be that Burnt Orange color that they used in the Calais.

I'm wondering if there is a link between the vinyl roof being replaced and the carpeting. Sort of a Caribou syndrome.   :chin:  Or whether the carpeting turned orange from sun bleaching.

I think that interior was white... before the shotgun went off.

Not funny.  You're just trying to see if I'm paying attention, right?

I was just about to remind everyone that it was the 70s after all.

Some really atrocious stuff during that period.

Yes.  I will never forget that fugly 76 Eldo we owned for 2 weeks.
Olive green with dark green vinyl roof and horrid green/gold/brown plaid interior.   :eeew:
But hey, it was a BOGO deal - bought a 59 CDV and got a 76 Eldo for FREE!!!
Can't complain too loud, it did run good once the CV joint was replaced.

Plug in your Barry Manilow 8-Track, put on your best powder blue leisure suit and platforms, and relive the era.

We don't want you drooling all over your keyboard at home. That is reserved for Misfits only. The one at work, we don't care about. That's a corporate responsibility.

I love paisley.  I have a lot of paisley ties and our shower curtain is paisley.  We even have some paisley sheets
on the bed.  But that red paisley interior was a bit too much!!!   :eeew:  Although I kinda liked the blue one............

That interior looks like it would hide any stains on the backseat fairly well!

I've got the '75 dealer's folders with the samples in them. God some of that stuff is horrendous.

The 1970's really was the decade that taste forgot.........

GM Holden wasn't much better with the houndstooth in the Statesman, either, though it's more bearable.
