Sweet! That was the final year for them too. I always wondered, what if Cadillac went the final mile and put in a proper console with a floor shift? That would have been truly cool.
Honestly, I don't really care for bucket seats.
One of the things I really like about old vehicles is the big full bench.
I always thought them cool, especially in the day when all the mundane cars had bench seats, many times with various styles of plain vinyl. But now that you never see cars with bench seats anymore, I think cars with nicely trimmed bench seats are quite cool.

Lord knows there's enough room back there. And the footrests are an added benefit.
