Maybe, maybe not.  I didn't read the whole thing but if it's a true #1, 100 point car, a collector may very well pay $40K. You couldn't restore one to that condition for $40K.

A '66 Toro in like condition (same color as mine) just sold for $35k.

Perhaps these cars, which have been long overlooked by collectors, are beginning to gain recognition?  We'll see.  Keep an eye on the listing and get back to us.
